Looking for a Brisbane Public Transport App?
Spoiler: you can skip the app store for now.

If you've searched for a Brisbane public transport app, you're after one thing: a simple way to plan a trip, see when the next service leaves, and not get stranded at midnight. Good news — you can do all of that this second, without installing anything.
GoThere is a Brisbane travel tool that runs right in your browser. A proper native app is in the works and we intend to release one soon, but everything you'd want from it already lives on this site.
What it does today
GoThere plans trips across South East Queensland the way a good app would. The route planner compares trains, buses, ferries and walking and ranks them by what matters to you — quickest, fewest transfers, least walking, or even the driest route when it's bucketing down.
There's live departures for any stop, and a last service home tool that tells you the latest safe time to leave so you don't miss the final train. That's the trio most people actually open an app for.
No download, but it feels like an app
Because it's a website, there's nothing to install and nothing to update — it's always the latest version. And if you'd like it sitting on your home screen like a real app, you can add it in two taps: on iPhone, use Safari's Share button then "Add to Home Screen"; on Android, use Chrome's menu and "Install app".
After that it opens full-screen from your home screen, no browser bar in sight. Most people genuinely can't tell the difference.
And the actual app?
It's coming. A native GoThere app is on the roadmap, and we'll make plenty of noise when it lands. Until then, the website does the job — so there's no reason to wait around to plan your next trip.
Bookmark it, add it to your home screen, and you're set. When the app arrives, you'll already know your way around.

Is there a GoThere Brisbane app?
A native GoThere app is in the works and we intend to release one soon. In the meantime, the GoThere website does everything an app would — trip planning, live departures and last-service-home — works in any browser, and can be added to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Do I need to download an app to plan a Brisbane trip?
No. GoThere runs in your web browser, so you can plan trips, check live departures and find your last service home without installing anything.
What's the best app for Brisbane public transport?
TransLink's official app is the go-to for ticketing and account features. For quickly comparing routes, finding your last service home and planning the driest trip in the rain, GoThere is a free browser-based tool built specifically for South East Queensland.
Can I add GoThere to my home screen?
Yes. On iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap the Share button and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and choose Install app from the menu. It then opens full-screen like a native app.
