About BCEC
BCEC opened in 1995 on the South Bank site of World Expo 88, and is one of Australia's largest convention and exhibition venues. It hosts international conferences, trade expos, consumer shows, gala dinners and graduations across its halls and theatres.
Spread over several levels of halls, meeting rooms and theatres, it can run anything from a major convention to a graduation, a consumer expo or a black-tie dinner, often several at once, which is why knowing your entrance and your way out matters.
On the night
Check which entrance your event uses, Grey Street or Merivale Street, before you go, as both are a short walk from South Bank station. Time your trip home around the end of the session, especially for a big evening event when the crowd leaves together.
