The New Farm Park CityCat terminal is right beside the Powerhouse, the nicest way to arrive.
🚌 By bus
Buses run to New Farm along Brunswick Street, a short walk from the venue.

Fortitude Valley is the nearest station, then a short bus or walk down to New Farm.
Getting home after the show
Ferries and buses run from New Farm in the evening, but the last ferry can be earlier than the trains, so check the last service before the final act. Fortitude Valley station and its NightLink trains are a short bus or walk away.

About Brisbane Powerhouse
The Powerhouse was built in the late 1920s as a power station for Brisbane's trams, ran until 1971, then sat derelict for decades before reopening in 2000 as one of the city's leading arts venues. Its raw industrial interior, on the river in New Farm Park, now hosts theatre, comedy, music and the Brisbane Comedy Festival.
Inside the old brick-and-steel shell are several theatres and spaces, with graffiti and machinery left in place as part of the character. The riverside setting in New Farm Park, and the bars and restaurants around it, are half the appeal of a night here.
On the night
Arrive by ferry if you can, it's the nicest approach, and pair it with a stroll in New Farm Park or a drink at Howard Smith Wharves. Just check the last ferry home before the final act, as it can run earlier than you'd think.
Parking at Brisbane Powerhouse
⚠️ Very limited, and it fills
There is a small amount of paid parking at the Powerhouse itself and metered street parking through New Farm, and both go early on a show night. New Farm Park next door fills with people who are not going to the show at all.
