About HOTA
HOTA, Home of the Arts, opened at Bundall in 1986 as the Gold Coast Arts Centre and was rebranded HOTA in 2018, with a striking new gallery added in 2021. Set on parklands by the water, it's the Gold Coast's main cultural hub, with theatres, a cinema, the gallery and an outdoor stage.
The green-roofed gallery is one of the largest public galleries outside a capital city, and alongside it are theatres, a cinema and an outdoor stage, all on parklands with lakes and lawns by the water at Bundall.
On the night
Make a day of the parklands and the gallery before an evening show. Buses run along Bundall Road and the tram is across the river at Surfers Paradise, so check the last bus from HOTA before a late finish.
