About QPAC

QPAC opened in 1985 as part of the Queensland Cultural Centre, designed by Queensland architect Robin Gibson. It's the state's flagship performing arts venue, home to the Lyric Theatre, the Concert Hall, the Playhouse and the Cremorne, hosting everything from musicals and ballet to orchestras and comedy.

On any night you might catch a touring musical in the grand Lyric Theatre, the Queensland Ballet or a symphony in the Concert Hall, or comedy and drama in the Playhouse or the smaller Cremorne. It's the centre of Brisbane's main-stage scene, right in the riverside cultural precinct.

On the night

Arrive a little early to find your theatre and grab a drink, and check the last train or busway service before the show so you're not rushing at the curtain. Grey Street and the South Bank restaurants are right there for a bite first.
