About Sea World
Sea World opened on the Spit at Main Beach on 30 October 1971, growing out of Keith Williams' Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens. The Gold Coast's marine theme park, it's known for its rides, animal presentations and its marine rescue work.
The park mixes roller coasters and water slides with animal presentations, penguins and the marine rescue program, all spread across the Spit with the Broadwater on one side and the surf on the other.
On the night
The 704 bus from the park finishes earlier than the tram, so check the last bus across to Main Beach before you leave; the tram and the train run later if you're carrying on up or down the coast.
