About The Princess Theatre

The Princess Theatre opened in 1888 and is one of Queensland's oldest surviving theatres. After a century of other uses, it was painstakingly restored and reopened in 2021 by the team behind the Tivoli, with a standing capacity of around 900, blending its heritage interior with a modern stage.

The restoration kept the ornate Victorian detailing while adding a modern stage and sound, so it now hosts live music, comedy and performance in one of Brisbane's most beautiful old rooms.

On the night

Annerley Road has a few spots for a pre-show bite, and the busway and Buranda station are a short walk. The Gabba is next door, so check for clashing events, and check the last service before the final act.
