Caboolture & Sunshine Coast line status

Live closures & works · the long northern run

From GoThere Brisbane, the free live journey planner for South East Queensland.

The network's longest reach runs north as one line wearing two names: Caboolture line trains to Caboolture, Sunshine Coast line trains continuing through the Glass House Mountains to Nambour and Gympie North. Shared tracks mean shared closures — here's the live status of the whole corridor.

⚠️ Heads up, there's a disruption

  • Reduced train timetables

TransLink attributes it to industrial action.

Separately, 1 planned track closure is scheduled on lines right across the network. Those are announced ahead, usually run late at night or at weekends with buses replacing trains, and are not a sign anything has gone wrong today.

One corridor, two lines

Everything north shares the tracks through Petrie (where the Redcliffe Peninsula line branches off — see its status page) up to Caboolture, then Sunshine Coast services push on to the Glass House Mountains and Nambour. Works on the shared stretch close both lines — the wider why is in the trackwork guide.

The long way home

On a line this long, the last service matters more than most — the Caboolture last-train guide and last service home have tonight's real final departures. The corridor's disruption record is on the reliability tracker.
