The easy answer: both of Brisbane's city racecourses, Doomben and Eagle Farm at Ascot, are right by a train station. The Doomben line runs out to Doomben station beside Doomben racecourse, and Ascot station is a short walk from Eagle Farm, so on a race day you can step off the train and almost straight through the gate, with no car to park and nothing to drive home after a few.

The easy way in: the train
The Doomben line was built to serve the races, and it ends at Doomben station right beside Doomben racecourse. For Eagle Farm, Ascot station on the same line is a short walk away. On big race days services are stronger, and stepping off a train at the track beats circling Ascot for a park.
By bus
