When the tram pauses

Planned tram trackwork usually lands on quiet nights with replacement buses along the Gold Coast Highway, and big events sometimes change services around Surfers — race week especially, covered in our Gold Coast 500 guide. Buses parallel the corridor when the tram stops, and the journey planner reroutes automatically. Heading to Brisbane? Trains from Helensvale and Robina keep running regardless — see the Gold Coast line status.
