NightLink: what runs after midnight

Late-night transport, live · Friday & Saturday nights

Brisbane after midnight has two modes. On Friday and Saturday nights, NightLink trains and buses keep the city moving into the early hours; every other night, the network winds down and the last scheduled service is your deadline. This page covers both — with live data for the moment you actually need it.

The late-night system, decoded

Friday and Saturday:NightLink trains run on the major lines into the early hours, joined by late-night buses — you have more rope than you think, but it's not infinite. Sunday to Thursday:the network closes down around midnight, and the only number that matters is your line's final departure. Either way, the winning move is the same: check last service home before the night starts, or your suburb's page in the last train home guides.

Out in the Valley or at a gig?

Fortitude Valley is the best-connected late-night precinct — its station runs NightLink services and every gig venue around it is minutes from a ride home. The venue guides carry a getting-home section for exactly this hour, and on the big nights — Riverfire, NYE — the event nights guide adds the extra services picture.
